POSITION SUMMARY
The Casino Server owns the guest’s experience of the meal: the order taken, the plate delivered on time and correct, and a room that feels welcoming while it happens. The position stands for the casino in how it serves, and holds the line on cleanliness, on knowing the product, and on every rule governing food safety and the responsible service of alcohol.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Guest Service
▪ Meet guests at once, with warmth and professionalism.
▪ Hand over menus, answer what is asked, and steer guests toward food and drink they will enjoy.
▪ Capture orders and key them into the POS without error.
▪ Run food and drink out quickly, correct and plated to standard.
▪ Read guest satisfaction across the meal, resolve what arises, and pull management in where the situation calls for it.
▪ Settle guest payment accurately under casino cash-handling procedure.
▪ Carry full knowledge of the menu, the day's specials, the promotions running, and what is happening on property.
▪ Work promotional and special events when assigned to them.
Compliance and Food Safety
▪ Observe health department rules, food safety practice, and the law governing responsible alcohol service.
▪ Verify identification before any alcohol is served.
▪ Watch guest alcohol consumption and involve a manager or security where a refusal escalates.
▪ Handle allergen requests carefully and carry them accurately to the kitchen.
Teamwork and Workplace Standards
▪ Stay tight with the bartenders and the kitchen so service never breaks stride.
▪ Lift the team by stepping in for others when the rush lands.
▪ Hold the dining rooms clean and orderly by working the assigned side duties going into a shift, through it, and once it closes.
▪ Build the service stations back up.
▪ Carry a professional look and a constructive outlook while standing for the casino.
▪ Report on time, in uniform, and ready for the shift.
▪ Finish all assigned training, including compliance, safety, and refresher training.
▪ Use of a personal mobile device in the kitchen or anywhere on the floor is not permitted while on the clock; undivided attention to the job is expected throughout the shift.
▪ Take on further assignments as management directs.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Experience, and Training
▪ High school completion or comparable experience.
▪ Six (6) months waiting tables is preferred.
▪ Earlier experience handling money is preferred.
▪ A valid Washington food worker card together with a MAST permit.
▪ Applicant must have reached the age of eighteen (18).
▪ Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

▪ Carries several tables at once without letting any of them wait.
▪ Familiar with common allergens and the practices that prevent cross-contact.
▪ Reads a guest’s condition and holds a refusal with composure.
▪ Presents a tidy, professional image and maintains sound personal grooming standards.
▪ Dependable attendance and on-time arrival.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The role is performed in a quick-paced bar and restaurant setting. Extended periods of standing, walking, or sitting are required, as are speaking, hearing, writing, and fine finger and tactile manipulation. Lifting and carrying of up to thirty pounds (30 lbs.) is required, and heavier loads on occasion. Reaching with the hands and arms, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling occur regularly, and the incumbent may be exposed to swings in temperature at either extreme.
Trays and bus tubs are carried across the floor throughout the shift, and the dining and bar areas are loud, with wet or slippery flooring. Availability for evening, weekend, holiday, and variable schedules is required.
