Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Technical Training Specialist to design, develop, deliver, and maintain technical training programs for both technical and non-technical audiences. The ideal candidate will have strong experience creating training curricula, instructor-led and web-based courses, eLearning content, technical documentation, job aids, and instructional materials.
This role will support training for software applications, IT systems, desktop support processes, security procedures, system installation, software support, and operational best practices. The specialist will work closely with technical teams and business stakeholders to identify training needs and deliver effective learning solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, and evaluate technical training curricula for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Deliver classroom, virtual, web-based, eLearning, multimedia, and computer-based training.
- Develop training materials including:
- Course outlines and instructor guides
- Training manuals and job aids
- Videos and presentations
- Exercises and training aids
- Step-by-step procedures
- Technical and instructional documentation
- Conduct training on software applications, IT systems, security procedures, system installation, software maintenance, desktop support, and operational processes.
- Translate complex technical information into clear and easy-to-understand training content.
- Analyze audience and business training needs and develop appropriate learning solutions.
- Create, update, and maintain training curricula, technical documentation, and supplementary instructional materials.
- Use Learning Management Systems (LMS) and eLearning authoring tools to develop and manage online training.
- Evaluate training effectiveness, analyze test results, and improve course content and instructional techniques.
- Develop alternative teaching methods and scenarios to improve learner engagement and knowledge retention.
- Collaborate with technical teams and subject matter experts to incorporate new systems, processes, and policies into training programs.
- Support workshops, conferences, short technical courses, and other learning initiatives.
- Research and recommend training vendors, tools, technologies, and delivery methods.
- Maintain awareness of current trends in IT training, eLearning, instructional technology, and alternative learning methods.
- Support accessibility requirements and assistive technologies when developing and delivering training.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience designing, developing, and delivering technical training programs.
- 5+ years of experience developing training curricula and instructional materials for technical and non-technical audiences.
- 5+ years of experience delivering instructor-led and/or web-based technical training.
- 5+ years of experience training users on software solutions, IT systems, security, system installation, software support, maintenance, or operational procedures.
- 5+ years of experience developing eLearning, job aids, videos, exercises, course outlines, training guides, and instructional materials.
- 5+ years of experience delivering training through classroom, virtual, eLearning, multimedia, or computer-based environments.
- 5+ years of experience translating technical information into clear training and instructional content.
- 5+ years of experience developing and maintaining technical documentation, training materials, procedures, and curricula.
- Experience with web-based Learning Management Systems (LMS) and eLearning authoring tools.
- Strong communication, presentation, technical writing, analytical, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience delivering technical training related to cloud technologies.
- Experience supporting training for government or large enterprise IT environments.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards and assistive technologies.
- Experience with multimedia development and computer-aided instructional technologies
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
