TOSA – Non-Continuing
(2026-27 School Year)
Green Mountain School District is a small, rural district with a beautiful K-8 campus located in north Clark County, Washington. The school has about 175 students and has a long history of providing quality education to students in a close-knit, small-school environment. Classes are self-contained in grades K-5, with 6-8 following a modified rotational schedule. Our teachers have the opportunity to teach the full spectrum of subject areas. Class sizes are generally small, and the school enjoys strong community and parent support. Our staff is an effective teaching team that works to provide the best program possible in our small school environment. We’re looking to add a dynamic new member to our team for the current school year. This position will perform substitute teaching duties on days that a classroom teacher is absent, provide instruction when teachers have release time and provide support in classrooms as an additional certificated teacher directed by the principal.
Contract: 180 days prorated depending on start date.
Salary: Per district schedule. Minimum $56,871, maximum $104,417 (2025-26 schedule), plus extra days. Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, and other board-approved benefits. $500 annual professional development allowance.

1. Bachelor’s degree or post-graduate work K-8 education.
2. Valid Washington State teaching certificate in Elementary Education (K-8).
3. Elementary or Middle grades teaching or student-teaching experience.
4. Demonstrated understanding of research-based instructional strategies.
5. Demonstrated ability to plan and deliver effective student-centered instruction leading to high student growth.5687
6. Demonstrated knowledge of the needs of diverse learners and strategies for addressing those needs.
7. Understanding appropriate state and local standards.
8. Demonstrated ability to use classroom technology to enhance student learning.
9. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships with students, teachers, administrators, support staff, and community members.
