Duties
- Implement evidence-based behavioral interventions and therapy plans tailored to each individual’s needs, focusing on skill development and behavior reduction.
- Collect, record, and analyze data related to client behaviors, progress, and treatment effectiveness to inform ongoing care plans.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, feeding, and other self-care routines, promoting independence.
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to develop and modify personalized care plans aligned with client goals.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, including progress notes, behavioral records, and compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and legal standards.
- Support clients during therapy sessions by applying principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) within a safe and encouraging environment.
- Communicate effectively with families to provide updates on progress, reinforce strategies at home, and promote consistency across settings.
Requirements
- Active and in good standing certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).
- Active and in good standing Nevada RBT license.
- Enrolled with Nevada Medicaid as an RBT.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license required.
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Experience working with children and individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or other developmental disabilities.
- Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and behavior management strategies.
- Ability to collect detailed data accurately during therapy sessions using appropriate tools and methods.
- Strong understanding of special education principles and patient care practices related to behavioral health.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and confidentiality standards such as HIPAA.
- Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills to work effectively with clients, families, and team members. This role is ideal for motivated individuals passionate about making a positive impact through teaching, care coordination, and behavioral health expertise.
Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
