Carpenter – Residential Remodeling

About the Role
Marvista Design + Build is growing and looking to add experienced Carpenters and individuals looking to grow (Apprentices) to our team as we continue delivering custom residential remodeling projects throughout the Pittsburgh area.
This role focuses on high-quality residential remodeling as part of our in-house production team. Carpenters at Marvista perform detailed remodeling work and coordinate daily tasks with the field team and Project Managers, playing a key role in taking projects from design drawings through final completion.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities vary by experience, but typically include:
- Framing, blocking, layout, and finish carpentry
- Supporting cabinet installations, trim, and detailed work
- Reading plans and scopes of work and executing to specification
- Coordinating daily tasks with the Project Manager and field team
- Maintaining clean, safe, and organized jobsites inside occupied homes
- Following company standards for quality, safety, and professionalism
- Assisting with training or mentoring less experienced carpenters, as appropriate
Note: Demolition is handled by trade partners, allowing carpenters to focus on craftsmanship. Our projects are also supported by a full team, meaning less time figuring things out and more time doing the work you enjoy.
Qualifications
- Carpentry or construction experience (apprentice through skilled)
- Solid understanding of residential construction methods and sequencing (for experienced candidates)
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Reliable, organized, and self-motivated
- Able to follow plans, instructions, and company standards
- Comfortable working inside clients’ homes
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Pay
- Competitive pay based on experience ($25–$40 per hour)
Schedule
- Full-time, Monday to Friday (~7:30am–4:00pm)
- No weekends
