About the Role
As a Propulsion Energetics Specialist, you will drive the innovation and reliability of flight-critical systems by engineering advanced pyrotechnic and energetic components. You will leverage your expertise in propellant chemistry and ordnance design to ensure mission success through the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept to final qualification.
Responsibilities-
Lead the end-to-end development of energetic devices, including gas generators, initiators, and igniters, ensuring all performance requirements are met.

Execute rigorous design and analysis of propellants and explosive components to optimize system efficiency and safety.

Design, coordinate, and oversee comprehensive development and qualification testing, utilizing advanced data reduction techniques to validate performance.

Author technical documentation, test plans, and formal reports to communicate findings to stakeholders and regulatory bodies.

Ensure all engineering outputs strictly adhere to government safety standards and explosive certification protocols.

Collaborate with manufacturing teams to transition designs into production, maintaining high quality and consistency.

10+ years of professional experience in the development and qualification of energetic systems.

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field.

Proven proficiency in requirements verification and validation (V&V) processes.

Strong understanding of ammunition and explosive safety certification requirements.

U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.

Advanced knowledge of pyrotechnic materials and warhead integration.

Experience with aerospace industry standards and regulatory compliance.

Exceptional analytical capabilities and technical writing proficiency for complex engineering documentation.
