Audio Visual Technician II | Security Technician| Low Voltage | New Commercial Construction

X3 is hiring experienced Level II & III Commercial Low Voltage Technicians for projects throughout the Greater Austin area and surrounding cities. We're looking for experienced technicians with a background in commercial AV systems, security systems, or both.
If you're local to the Austin area and worked on conference rooms, access control, CCTV, sound masking, or integrated low-voltage systems, we'd like to hear from you!
What You Will Do
- Install and terminate low-voltage cabling (Cat5e/Cat6, fiber, speaker wire, HDMI)
- Install commercial AV systems, including displays, projectors, speakers, microphones, and conference room equipment
- Install and wire access control devices, including card readers, electric strikes, mag locks, and door hardware
- Install and configure IP cameras and CCTV systems
- Install equipment racks, panels, and low-voltage devices
- Program, commission, test, and troubleshoot AV and/or security systems
- Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and low-voltage drawings
- Ensure all installations meet customer and industry standards
What You Need
- 2+ years of commercial low-voltage experience
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
- Must be 18 years or older
- Commercial AV systems
- Conference rooms and boardrooms
- Sound masking systems
- Access control
- CCTV and IP cameras
- Crestron
- Axis Cameras
- Experience programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting systems
- Commercial construction experience preferred
Qualifications
- Ability to read blueprints and wiring schematics
- Experience terminating Cat5e/Cat6 cable
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
