JOB Under general supervision, responsible for guarding and monitoring all buildings and properties owned by the Ak-Chin Indian Community by maintaining a visible presence in the community in order to prevent theft, acts of vandalism and property destruction to tribal properties. Observes and monitors activity covered by the Community surveillance system. Security Guards may be assigned to a day, swing, or graveyard shift on a regular rotational basis that includes working nights, weekends, and holidays.

- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Work is performed in outdoor weather conditions and may occasionally work near moving mechanical parts and be exposed to extreme cold and heat.
- Occasionally must sit for long periods of time.
