Wet Rentals and Tours is looking for a motivated mechanic to join our team and help maintain our growing fleet of equipment and watersports vehicles. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving mechanical problems, working with tools, and learning new systems.

While we operate in the watersports industry, marine experience is not required. We are willing to train the right person on marine-specific systems.

Responsibilities
- Perform routine fleet maintenance on company equipment and vehicles
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues
- Perform preventative maintenance and inspections
- Assist with maintenance and repair of all company owned assets, units and vehicles
- Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot problems
- Assist with installation, rigging, and equipment setup
- Maintain a clean and organized shop environment
- Work closely with the operations team to ensure equipment is ready for daily use
Requirements
- General mechanical experience is required.
- Applicants must have basic knowledge of automotive or mechanical systems.
- Ability to perform basic mechanical tasks such as diagnosing issues, using common shop tools, and performing routine maintenance.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work in a hands-on mechanical environment.
- Reliable, motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to assist with lifting and physical tasks when required.
Training Provided
Marine experience is not required. We will train the right candidate on marine-specific systems including:
- Marine outboard motors
- Personal watercraft engines (jet skis)
- Jet propulsion systems
Preferred Experience
- Automotive mechanic experience
- Small engine repair experience
- Powersports or equipment maintenance
- Forklift experience (preferred but not required)
Work Environment
This role supports the mechanical needs of a busy watersports operation. Work will take place primarily in the shop but may also involve outdoor work around the marina and equipment when needed. This means long hours in the sun on docks and near the water. Heavy lifting is required.
The work environment is fast-paced and hands-on, with a focus on keeping our fleet running safely and reliably.
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
