Duties
- Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide detailed descriptions of dishes and drinks to enhance the dining experience
- Take accurate orders using POS systems, ensuring timely communication with the kitchen and staff
- Upsell menu items and specials to maximize sales while maintaining genuine guest relations
- Serve food and beverages efficiently, ensuring proper food handling, sanitation, and presentation standards are met
- Manage guest inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and ensure guest satisfaction throughout their visit
- Assist with bussing tables, cleaning work areas, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs or upscale restaurants
- Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, and cashiering procedures
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic approach that fosters guest loyalty
- Ability to handle food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling techniques
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods
- Experience with upselling techniques to increase sales without compromising guest satisfaction
- Familiarity with food industry terminology, food preparation basics, and restaurant operations to support team efficiency
