Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pest Control Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and managing pest issues in residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of pest control methods, the ability to operate hand tools and machinery, and excellent customer service skills. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of properties to identify pest infestations and potential entry points.
- Apply appropriate pest control treatments using various methods, including chemical applications, traps, and exclusion techniques.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and farm machinery as needed for effective pest management.
- Provide recommendations to clients on preventative measures and maintenance practices to reduce future infestations.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed, including treatment plans and customer interactions.
- Educate clients on the importance of pest control and landscape maintenance.
- Drive company vehicles to various job sites while adhering to safety regulations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in pest control or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, farm machinery, and landscape maintenance practices is advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and sales opportunities.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physical tasks as needed.
- Willingness to learn about new pest control techniques and industry standards.
