Part-Time 4K Teacher
Position: Part-Time 4K TeacherSchedule: Morning or Afternoon Session (Part-Time) End of August 2026-June 2027
Job Summary:The Part-Time 4K Teacher creates a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom where four-year-old children develop socially, emotionally, physically, and academically through play-based learning. The teacher plans and implements developmentally appropriate activities while fostering positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with 4K learning standards.
- Create a welcoming, inclusive, and positive classroom environment.
- Support children's social-emotional growth, language development, and early literacy and math skills.
- Observe and assess student progress and communicate with families regularly.
- Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and safety.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants, special education staff, and other school personnel.
- Attend staff meetings, professional development, and family events as required.
- Follow all school, district, and state licensing requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education
- Valid Wisconsin teaching license in Early Childhood Education (or eligibility to obtain one).
- Experience working with preschool-aged children is preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, sense of humor, and classroom management skills.
- Passion for creating meaningful learning experiences for young children.
