Job Overview
We are a granite and tile company seeking a reliable and skilled Warehouse Associate/Driver to join our team. This role involves both warehouse operations and driving responsibilities, requiring a candidate with a strong safety record, excellent communication skills, and experience operating commercial vehicles. The ideal candidate will be responsible for loading, unloading, and moving materials, as well as safely transporting materials to designated locations. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where safety, efficiency, and professionalism are prioritized. Work hours are Monday through Friday 6am-2:30pm.
Duties
- Manually load and unload material using equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, or other mechanical tools
- Operate a variety of commercial vehicles including stake trucks and lift gates.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Safely transport material to designated job sites
- Assist with inventory management and warehouse organization
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle maintenance logs
- Communicate effectively with manager and team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered during routes
- Follow all safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and vehicle handling
Experience
- Prior experience in delivery driving or warehouse operations preferred
- Commercial driving experience such as bus driving, shuttle driving, heavy haul, or freight transportation is highly desirable
- Knowledge of operating mechanical equipment like forklifts, pallet jacks, or heavy machinery is a plus
- Experience with route driving or heavy equipment operation such as dump trucks or tow trucks is advantageous
- Strong communication skills for coordinating deliveries and ensuring safety compliance
- Previous roles involving moving freight or cargo in warehouse settings are beneficial
Candidates should possess relevant driving licenses and have the ability to operate various types of commercial vehicles safely.
Pay: $24.50 - $25.00 per hour
