Capex Oilfield Services is a privately owned company providing rental equipment, service, and support to the energy industry. We are currently seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician for our Midland Texas branch who will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, troubleshooting and quality control of our Centrifuges and Solids Control equipment. Our ideal candidate will be a positive team player who has the ability to thrive in a team environment and support in the field as required.
This is a branch-based position however, we are open to discussion on rotational based scheduling for the right candidate.

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for:
- Servicing and maintaining our equipment including, pumps, tanks, generators, centrifuges and all other equipment in the shop and field
- Performing troubleshooting mechanical and electrical and diagnostics on all solids control equipment
- Maintaining a high standard of quality control and organization in the shop
- Troubleshooting mechanical issues in the field as required
- Performing mechanical maintenance and repairs on centrifuge assemblies, including bearing replacements, seals, belts, and rotating assemblies in accordance with manufacturer and company standards
- Adjusting equipment and repairing or replacing defective parts, components or systems
- Troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems including VFD, control panels, sensors, emergency stop circuits and field wiring
- Testing repaired equipment for proper performance and completing service reports
- Adhering to all industry HSE regulations and requirements and company procedures

- Excellent mechanical aptitude
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Ability to make decisions and diagnose problems
- Self-motivation, strong attention to detail and safety conscious
- Willing and able to work in a team setting and help out where needed
- Desire to occasionally work in the field if required
- Experience repairing and working with Alfa Laval Centrifuges is considered an asset
- Desire and ability to perform physical requirements of the job and work in a drug and alcohol free environment
- Electrically inclined with previous oilfield experience is considered an strong asset
