Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, caulking, plastering, and applying primer to ensure optimal adhesion and finish quality
- Apply paint using various methods including hand tools, conventional spray guns, airless paint spraying systems, and construction spray painting techniques
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction plans to accurately execute painting tasks aligned with project specifications
- Perform surface repairs such as masonry work, drywall finishing.
- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety regulations, utilizing respiratory protection, and following proper handling procedures for hazardous materials
- Assist with construction estimating tasks related to painting projects and material requirements
- Collaborate with carpenters, masons, and other tradespeople during renovation or remodeling projects to coordinate work seamlessly
Experience
- Proven experience in construction painting including residential, commercial, or industrial settings
- Skilled in surface preparation techniques such as sanding, caulking, plastering, and masonry work
- Familiarity with power tools, hand tools, scaffolding setup, and maintenance of spray equipment
- Knowledge of color theory and visual color comparison for accurate color matching and finishing
- Experience working on construction sites with adherence to safety regulations and proper use of respiratory protection
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to surface area and material quantities
- Additional skills such as welding, framing carpentry, fixture installation, or renovation experience are a plus

Pay: $20.00 - $30.16 per hour
