Essential Duties and Responsibilities
This position will provide therapeutic behavior support to adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities (IDD) and mental health (MH) diagnoses and BE PAID TO COMPLETE TRAINING TO BECOME A CERTIFIED Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). This position supports the activities of the EMPOWER (Evidence-Informed MH/IDD Practice On Wellness & Enhancing Resiliency) Pilot Program within an integrated care model. THIS IS A COMMUNITY-BASED POSITION WHICH REQUIRES TRAVEL TO SEE CLIENTS in their home, day program, or in the community.
Job Duties
- Completes 40 hours of RBT Training, competency assessment and written exam within the first 30 days of employment
- Implements the therapeutic behavior interventions under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Provides education to clients/guardians/group home staff on the components of the EMPOWER Pilot Program and client specific goals
- Provides 1:1 skill development with persons served per the behavior support plan (BSP); collaborates with client supports/residential providers to collect daily client behavioral data
- Observes client behavior and documents data in Ensora (ABA software)
- Assist in safety planning for persons served; reports all critical incidents per agency policy
- Attends the bi-monthly MH/TBS meetings to ensure effective implementation of the behavior support plan for persons served
- Adheres to a positive team culture and promotes personal empowerment in the treatment process
- Attends all client meetings and maintains ongoing contacts with other collaborating providers to ensure optional treatment client outcomes
- Participates in activities to promote the professional growth and development of staff (trainings, conferences, case consultation)
- Meets with supervisor (BCBA) weekly for supervision and for the RBT certification process
- Meets established productivity requirements- 5.5 hours of billable behavioral services daily
- Completes client documentation per agency policy and according to external licensing and regulatory standards; completes notes in session
- Provides services and emergency coverage to clients as assigned by the BCBA or other designated administrative staff
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as appropriate to the needs of the clients
- Actively participates in the agency’s continuous quality improvement process
- Maintains the RBT credential under the supervision of the BCBA per BACB guidelines
This position reports to the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Clinical Consultant
Starting hourly rate: $19.00

Qualifications
High School Diploma
Completion of the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification and signed contract for one year of employment with the company as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
One year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health diagnoses
Ability to work with individuals with diverse needs
Have an acceptable background check, driving record, valid driver’s license
