We are seeking a Powder Coating Painter to join a well-established manufacturing company in the sheet metal fabrication industry. This role handles a full range of powder-coating duties, from surface prep through final finish, on structures, equipment, and metal components. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in an active plant environment.
Morning Shift, Monday to Friday $18.00 to $24.00 per hour
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and powder-paint a variety of surfaces including steel, aluminum, shop-coated metal, uncoated metal, and finished hardware/accessories
- Apply protective powder coating to equipment and miscellaneous metalwork
- Set up equipment settings and air pressure for powder coating application
- Load powder paint into the coating equipment
- Direct spray onto work surfaces to apply finish coat, determining the proper amount of powder to apply
- Identify parts for inspection as part of the quality control process
- Update travelers and input job data as required
- Maintain workplace housekeeping to ensure a safe, clean work environment
- Other duties as instructed
Requirements:
- Knowledge of methods and techniques related to painting/powder coating
- Understanding of safe use, storage, and disposal of paints, cleaning products, and chemicals
- Ability to read and understand painting documents
- Powder-paint experience is a PREFERRED
- Comfortable working in an environment with noise, dust, heat/cold, and moving mechanical parts
