Seeking a Special Education Itinerant Teacher (SEIT).
**Applicants must have not worked for DOE for 365 days**
Applicants MUST have : A NYC licensed Teaching certification for Students with disabilities, birth to 2nd grade
SEITs will have the opportunity to have flexible placements and schedules for work/life balance.
Full-time and part-time Per-diem available.
Free workshops and training offered.
Work in diverse setting such as students homes, public and private schools, Daycare centers, and or other community settings.
Must have a passion for working with children and families!
Must be self motivated, a team player, and exercise patience/professionalism. Must be able to travel to and from assigned cases.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized instruction and supports to students with developmental delays in the itinerant setting, adapting lessons to individual IEP goals and collaboration with families and other professionals.
- Implement behavior management strategies, track progress, and modify interventions to promote positive student outcomes and consistent classroom routines.
- Deliver inclusive, developmentally appropriate activities in collaboration with classroom teachers, and support literacy, math, and functional skills development.
- Monitor student safety, document progress, and communicate regularly with school teams to ensure timely updates and alignment with goals.
- Maintain organized records, manage time efficiently for travel between campuses, and uphold confidentiality and professional standards.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
