AOS Service & Repair is an established, family owned shop that’s been in business for over 20 years. We take pride in fair pricing, honest service, and quality workmanship. We are expanding and having trouble keeping up with the demand of our new clientele, so we are in urgent need of a dependable and skilled technician whose values align with ours. They should be detail-oriented and have excellent problem-solving skills in order to accurately diagnose a wide variety of vehicles ranging from European to heavy duty trucks. Our shop frequently performs engines/transmission swaps, exhaust repairs, A/C diagnostics, electrical diagnostics, welding services, roadside assistance, and simple maintenance, along with PA annual state inspections. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Repair and maintain various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, suspension, brakes, steering, and electrical components.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently to disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicle parts with precision.
- When necessary, communicate clearly and effectively to customers regarding repairs
- Properly document repairs and communicate findings with the service team
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Assist in creating a productive work flow for the shop by assessing other mechanic’s areas of expertise and distributing work appropriately
Qualifications
- 8+ years of professional automotive repair experience required
- Valid Pennsylvania State Safety Inspection license required
- Experience diagnosing and repairing European vehicles as well as heavy duty trucks is strongly preferred
- Welding skills required
- ASE certifications are a plus
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including diesel engines, transmissions, oil systems, and automotive electrical systems.
- Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics tools and schematics reading.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with a cooperative attitude
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized maintenance equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
