Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. Duties
- Perform comprehensive dental hygiene services, including prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, periodontal maintenance, and preventive care
- Conduct periodontal evaluations and charting using Florida Probe technology
- Capture diagnostic radiographs and intraoral images
- Utilize iTero scanning technology to support comprehensive treatment planning
- Educate patients on oral-systemic health connections and personalized home care recommendations
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide in accordance with state regulations
- Apply fluoride treatments, sealants, and other preventive therapies
- Collaborate with doctors and team members to deliver outstanding patient care
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes
- Follow OSHA, CDC, and infection control protocols
- Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities
Qualifications
- Active Dental Hygiene License in the District of Columbia
- Current CPR certification
- Local Anesthesia certification preferred
- Nitrous Oxide certification preferred
- Strong communication and patient education skills
- Passion for preventive care and periodontal health
- Experience with digital dentistry and technology is a plus
