Job Summary
The Economic Development Coordinator manages job functions at the direction of the Main Street /Economic Development Director. The coordinator assists to drive economic growth and development within the City of Hampton and is responsible for coordinating strategies, programs, and initiatives that promote economic sustainability and prosperity.
Duties
- Conduct thorough market research to identify trends and opportunities for development initiatives.
- Perform regression analysis and forecast potential outcomes to support strategic planning.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data using tools such as R, SAS, and machine learning techniques.
- Prepare comprehensive reports that summarize findings and provide actionable insights for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on development goals and objectives.
- Assist in the creation of presentations that communicate research findings and recommendations effectively.
- Maintain organized records of data collection processes and analysis methodologies.
Requirements
- Proven experience in data analysis, with strong skills in regression analysis and analytics.
- Proficiency in statistical software such as R and SAS is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with machine learning concepts and their application in data analysis.
- Excellent report writing skills with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Strong market research capabilities to inform development strategies.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy in data collection and reporting.
