CNC Machinist- Lathe
Lowell is looking for an experienced machinist for the night or weekend shift, to set up and operate sophisticated new Nakamura Mill Turn and/or Lathe CNC Equipment. Night Shift: Monday to Thursday, 5pm to 3:30am
Weekend Shift: Friday to Sunday, 6am to 6pm
Sign on bonus of up to $2000 is available for either opening

CNC Machinist Responsibilities:
· Set up and operate CNC Nakamura Mill Turn and/or Lathe Machines.
· Read and edit CNC code (partnering with Engineering) per company SOP’s.
· Manufacture conforming product through the use and interpretation of part drawings, operation instructions, manufacturing specifications, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
· Perform in-process inspection using inspection equipment and tools to verify dimensional and surface conformity. Uses data to adjust and maintain manufacturing process as needed.
· Maintain tooling, equipment, and work area to ensure an organized, safe, and clean environment.
· Performs routine preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance of the machines.
· Performs part finishing operations using a variety of abrasives, deburring tools and equipment.
· Collaborate with team members, quality, and engineering departments.
· Other duties as needed and assigned.
Lathe Experience:
· Minimum 3-5 years CNC Machinist experience, Nakamura experience preferred.
· Possesses advanced mechanical drawing reading skills and knowledge of GD&T.
· Understands metrology principles and how to perform inspection on complex parts.
· Strong computer skills in order to access, store, create, and log data.
· Light programming skills and ability to read and write macros preferred.

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
