Wills Transport is looking to hire an experienced Skid Steer Operator for our Sparta location. The ideal candidate is someone who is punctual, consistent in their attendance, and can take initiative with limited supervision. Please see the following concerning this opportunity with Wills Transport:
Duties
- Operate skid steer loaders with precision, adhering to safety protocols and project specifications
- Assist with loading of end dump-trucks in an efficient manner while maintaining cleanliness of the worksite.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on skid steer machinery to ensure optimal performance
- Track all inbound and outbound loads for inventory purposes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work site by clearing debris and managing materials efficiently
- Collaborate and communicate with other team members, leadership, and partners in a respectful manner.
- Follow all safety guidelines and report any equipment issues or safety concerns immediately
- Assist with other site duties as deemed necessary by the business.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating skid steer loaders
- Mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment (Preferred)
- Strong understanding of construction site safety procedures and regulations
- Able to communicate effectively through written and verbal methods of communication
- Ability to read technical manuals and operate machinery confidently
- Basic skills in maintenance and troubleshooting of heavy machinery
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to bend, squat, twist, and reach over your head at times
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
