Job description
As the Plant Manager/Foreman you will be responsible for leading all CNC machining operations in a high-mix, tight-tolerance manufacturing job-shop environment. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on driving safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance while developing team members and ensuring production goals are met. Ideal candidate will have prior experience as a plant manager or senior operations leader, precision grinding experience on manual as well as CNC machinery, is familiar with ISO quality systems and has experience in a job shop environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise the manufacturing plant employees to ensure smooth operations and optimal performance.
- Understand project requirements and develop comprehensive production schedules, taking into consideration both short-term and long-term goals.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and streamline processes to maximize productivity without compromising quality standards.
- Work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Implement strategies to minimize overtime hours and optimize workforce utilization, including effective scheduling and capacity planning.
- Monitor and control overall costs associated with operations, materials, labor, and maintenance.
- Set performance expectations and hold employees accountable for their respective roles and responsibilities. Provide coaching, feedback, and support to ensure high levels of performance and productivity.
Requirements:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in CNC machining leadership/supervision within a manufacturing industry.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams, drive performance, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Project Management Abilities: Proficient in managing multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify operational bottlenecks, analyze data, and develop effective solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Excellent Communication: Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with employees and senior management.
- Safety Consciousness: A commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Computer Proficiency: Proficient in using computer software and systems related to production planning, inventory management, and reporting.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
