About the Role
As an APG Mechanic, you will be an integral part of the Greenville Site Operations maintenance team, directly supporting F‑16 aircraft sustainment and modification activities. Your responsibilities will encompass comprehensive aircraft maintenance, troubleshooting, inspections, and system operation across a variety of aircraft subsystems within both production and operational settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct general maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on aircraft electro‑mechanical and pneumatic systems.
- Perform operational checkouts and routine inspections of:
- Electrical, hydraulic, and propulsion systems.
- Landing gear and flight controls.
- Fueling and defueling systems.
- Airframe, furnishings, and crew‑escape systems.
- Support aircraft movement, launch, recovery, and ground operations to ensure smooth workflow.
- Remove and reinstall panels, components, and hardware to facilitate access to repair areas.
- Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to stringent technical, safety, and quality standards, contributing to a safe and reliable operation.
- Support sustainment, repair, and overhaul efforts on operational F‑16 aircraft, helping to maintain fleet readiness.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- 6+ years of recent aircraft maintenance experience
- The hiring manager may consider candidates with 4+ years of experience if they possess strong and relevant F‑16 experience.
- F‑16 experience is a must
- Comprehensive understanding of aircraft systems operation and maintenance, including:
- Landing gear
- Powerplants
- Flight controls
- Fuel systems
- Aircraft launch, recovery, and ground movement
- High School Diploma or GED (accredited)

Work Schedule
- Full‑Time Contract Ends - 1/2027
- 2nd Shift Position
- Monday – Thursday 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM
- Initial training will be conducted on 1st shift, with a transition to 2nd shift upon completion.
