SUMMARY
The K–12 Supervisor of Instructional Services provides district-wide leadership in curriculum, instruction, assessment, data, virtual and blended learning, professional learning, and continuous improvement. Reporting to the Director of Instructional Services/Curriculum, the Supervisor collaborates with district and building staff to support high-quality teaching and learning and serves as the District Assessment Coordinator, District Data Coordinator, K–12 Virtual Administrator, Virtual and Blended Learning Lead, K–12 Mathematics and Science Curriculum Lead, and Reproductive Health Coordinator, ensuring programs align with district priorities and applicable state and federal requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS

Master’s Degree in curriculum, administration, education, or a related field preferred.

Minimum of five (5) years of successful teaching experience

Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate and/or Administrative Certificate

Demonstrated knowledge of K–12 curriculum, instruction, assessment, educational best practices, Michigan Academic Standards, state assessment requirements, and applicable state and federal educational requirements.

Demonstrated ability to effectively utilize technology, instructional, assessment, data, and learning management systems to analyze, interpret, and communicate student achievement and other educational data.

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to develop successful working relationships with administrators, teachers, support staff, students, families, and community partners.

Experience in strategic planning and communicating organizational vision, goals, and expectations.

Ability to plan, facilitate, and evaluate high-quality professional learning for educators.

Experience with curriculum development, alignment, implementation, and program evaluation.

Experience in budget management and the effective allocation of instructional resources.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Instructional Leadership, Curriculum, and Professional Learning
-
Provide district-wide leadership for K–12 curriculum, instruction, assessment, professional learning, technology integration, and evidence-based instructional practices.

Lead and support curriculum development, alignment, implementation, and evaluation to ensure consistency with Michigan Academic Standards and district priorities.

Collaborate with administrators, teachers, instructional coaches, interventionists, and other staff to support continuous improvement and high-quality teaching and learning.

Plan and facilitate district and building-level professional learning and support new teacher induction, instructional initiatives, and curriculum implementation.
K–12 Mathematics and Science Curriculum Leadership

Serve as the district's K–12 Mathematics and Science Curriculum Lead, providing leadership for curriculum development, alignment, implementation, and evaluation.

Facilitate curriculum committees and collaborative teams and coordinate professional learning and instructional support in mathematics and science.

Analyze student achievement and instructional data to identify trends, needs, and opportunities for improvement in mathematics and science.
-
Lead the review, selection, adoption, and implementation of mathematics and science instructional materials, programs, and resources.
District Assessment Coordination

Serve as the District Assessment Coordinator and oversee the administration of state, national, and district assessments in accordance with applicable requirements.

Develop and communicate assessment calendars, procedures, training, testing protocols, and assessment security requirements.

Coordinate assessment participation, accommodations, testing schedules, materials, and other administration requirements in collaboration with district and building staff.

Serve as the primary district contact for assessment-related communications and monitor district compliance, participation, and completion.
District Data Coordination

Serve as the District Data Coordinator and lead the collection, analysis, interpretation, and communication of student achievement and instructional data.

Develop and coordinate reports, dashboards, and data review processes to support district, building, and instructional decision-making.

Support administrators, teachers, PLCs, instructional coaches, and interventionists in using multiple measures of data to identify needs, monitor progress, and improve student outcomes.

Collaborate with district departments to promote data accuracy, consistency, accessibility, and effective use.
K–12 Virtual and Blended Learning

Serve as the K–12 Virtual Administrator and Virtual and Blended Learning Lead, overseeing district virtual, online, and blended learning programs.

Coordinate student placement, enrollment, progress monitoring, intervention, and course completion in collaboration with administrators, counselors, teachers, families, and virtual providers.

Lead the selection, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of virtual learning platforms, online curriculum providers, digital resources, and blended learning practices.
Reproductive Health Coordination

Serve as the District Reproductive Health Coordinator and oversee implementation of reproductive health education in accordance with Michigan law, Board policy, and district-approved curriculum.

Coordinate required reproductive health advisory processes, committees, communications, procedures, and documentation.

Support the review, alignment, and implementation of district-approved reproductive health curriculum and instructional materials.

Monitor applicable state requirements and guidance and communicate relevant changes to district leadership and staff.
