Join Four Seasons Family of Companies as a Lead Quality Control Inspector, where you’ll play a hey role in ensuring the highest standards of fresh produce quality while supporting the daily operations of our Quality Control team. In this hands-on leadership role, you’ll work closely with the Quality Control Assistant Manager to coordinate inspections, mentor team members, troubleshooting challenges and help maintain compliance with USDA and food safety standards. THE BASICS:
- Schedule: Monday - Friday 5:00 am - 1:30 pm with every fourth weekend and the Thursday before and Tuesday after off.
- Location: Ephrata, PA
WHAT YOU DO:
- Support the Assistant Manager with scheduling, coverage plans, internal billing management, USDA inspection scheduling and overseeing daily task completion of QC inspectors, QC Assurance and QC Utility
- Reduce product shrink by supporting the team with training of new associates and developing skills and knowledge of existing associates
- Support the Assistant Manager in troubleshooting challenges and addressing concerns
- Support the Inbound and QA Inspectors with timely, accurate, and thorough inspections of inbound and on-hand inventory according to the procedures and methods of Four Season Produce, Inc and the USDA
- Manage and delegate workflow to the QC Utility team
- Communicate effectively and collaborate with Four Season Family of Companies associates as needed to provide information to make sound business decisions
- Set a consistent example in leadership style, communication and integrity
- Operate equipment safely, follow safe work practices, maintain a safe work area, and adhere to food safety policies
WHAT YOU BRING:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 3+ years of produce inspecting experience preferred or completion of an internal QC Apprenticeship program
- Knowledge of Four Seasons Produce, Inc. operations or prior experience working within a produce distribution center
- Proficiency in MS Office and ability to learn new software programs
- Must be able to distinguish colors for grading produce and have keen attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize, plan, and make sound decisions

- Must be comfortable working in a primarily refrigerated environment, with variable temperatures and exposure to dust, dirt, and noise
- Must be comfortable working with and handling equipment, moving conveyors and packing machines
- Must be able to speak, hear, frequently stand, walk, occasionally kneel and stoop. Use hands to feel, reach with hands and arms to operate power equipment.
- Must be able to carry, push and lift up to 65lbs. from floor to overhead level, and use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines
