We are seeking a reliable and professional
Security Guard to maintain a safe and secure environment at our dispensary. The ideal candidate will help enforce dispensary policies, monitor premises, and assist with entry protocols in accordance with New York State cannabis regulations.

Monitor entrance/exit points and ensure only authorized individuals enter the facility.

Check IDs to verify age and prevent underage access.

Maintain a visible security presence to deter theft, disturbances, or unauthorized activity.

Patrol premises regularly, including the sales floor, customer waiting area, and exterior of the building.

Monitor security cameras and report any suspicious behavior or breaches.

Assist staff with conflict resolution and de-escalation when necessary.

Respond to emergencies, alarms, and incidents according to SOPs.

Document all incidents, violations, or unusual activities in a clear and timely manner.

Ensure vendors and delivery personnel follow proper sign-in procedures.

Support closing/opening procedures as needed.

Secure employees’ personal bags at the beginning of each shift and return them at shift end per dispensary policy.

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Valid NYS Security Guard License required.

Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or a high-traffic retail environment preferred.

Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle difficult situations professionally.

Must be 21 years of age or older and US Citizen.

Full flexibility required, willing to work weekends and holidays.

Professional Attire/Uniform must be worn.

Knowledge of cannabis laws or experience in the cannabis industry is a plus, but not required.
