Responsibilities
- Engage with customers to identify their plumbing, lighting, and renovation needs through active listening and expert guidance
- Assist customers in selecting the right products by providing detailed information on specifications, installation processes, and maintenance requirements
- Upsell complementary products such as fixtures, lighting solutions, or remodeling materials to maximize sales opportunities
- Manage inside sales activities including order processing via POS systems, cash handling, and account management
- Collaborate with team members on marketing initiatives and promotional campaigns to attract new customers and retain existing ones
- Maintain excellent customer service standards by addressing inquiries promptly and professionally
Experience
- Proven experience in outside or inside sales within the construction, renovation, or retail industry preferred
- Familiarity with plumbing systems, lighting design, layout planning, or remodeling projects desirable
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of deal closing and upselling success
- Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases
- Construction experience or background in maintenance work enhances understanding of customer needs
- Organizational skills for managing stock levels, merchandising displays, and customer accounts effectively
- Basic math skills for retail math calculations related to pricing, discounts, and product measurements
