ROLE: Senior Heavy Equipment Service Technician
DESCRIPTION:
The Senior Heavy Equipment Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing and repairing various JCB-branded
equipment, machines, and components. Primary duties include diagnosing, ordering parts, customer and
warranty reporting, customer communications, and maintaining company assets – all towards the achievement
of individual and group goals.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
The primary duties of this role are as follows:
- Diagnose and repair equipment and components.
- Properly source and order parts to achieve superior efficiencies, customer satisfaction, and in support of company financial metrics.
- Perform preventative maintenance on JCB equipment, as directed.
- Communicate progress of repairs with the Service Manager.
- Proper use of company-owned special tooling, including maintaining all company-owned assets in a clean and safe manner.
- Completing all associated paperwork in a timely manner, including, but not limited to, work orders, parts orders, time, etc.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Other duties and projects as assigned by company management.
METRICS:
In the pursuit and execution of this role’s Primary Duties, the following metrics have been defined as a guide by which to measure success and to assist Management in the evaluation of performance-in-function, with follow-on impact to merit Increases, performance bonuses, promotions, and other such activity.
- Technician Efficiency Rating
- Time Billed / Time Worked, as captured by technician work logs.
- Value to be determined.
- Monthly Billing
- Labor Component of Billed Invoices
- Parts Component of Billed Invoices
- Values to be determined.
- Warranty Claims Approval Rate
- Success rate and velocity of those Warranty Claims worked, as captured by technician work logs and supporting documentation.
- Safety Record
- Assessment of compliance to safety requirements and protocols in all aspects of work and usage of tools and company assets.
SECONDARY DUTIES:
This role may be assigned various other duties and/or projects as determined by management and the needs of
the business at the time. Any additional duties will be managed in accordance with the above Primary Duties so
as to avoid conflicting requirements.

with the needs of the business and the determination of management.
Pay: $30.00 - $55.00 per hour
