Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Concrete Form Carpenter Foreman to lead and oversee concrete formwork projects on construction sites. this will be all Davis Bacon work. This dynamic role requires a proactive leader who can manage teams, interpret technical drawings, and ensure that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. As a key player in our construction management team, you will coordinate schedules, supervise daily operations, and uphold safety regulations while delivering exceptional results on complex projects.
Responsibilities
- Build and set forms out of wood, metal and Symon forms
- Help pour concrete into forms
- Tie rebar
- Strip forms after concrete is set
- Clean forms and prep for next project
- Proficient in measuring and cutting
- Able to work at heights
- Ability to work without close supervision once directed on task
- Obeys and follows all safety rules on the job site and encourages others to do the same
- Maintains a good relationship with co-workers and works well with others to accomplish a task
- Lead and supervise concrete form carpentry teams, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications.
- Interpret construction drawings, schematics, and technical plans to guide formwork installation and modifications.
- Supervise the review of construction drawings and schematics to ensure accuracy before execution begins.
- Monitor project progress through regular site visits and manage construction schedule coordination for seamless workflow.
Experience
- Proven management experience in heavy civil or commercial concrete formwork projects with a strong background in supervising teams in a construction environment.
- Extensive construction site experience with a focus on concrete form carpentry and related activities.
- Strong knowledge of federal construction safety regulations including OSHA standards; ability to enforce safety protocols effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints reading skills, schematics comprehension, and use of tools like ohmmeters for electrical testing when necessary.
- Experience managing contracts and budgets within large-scale projects; skilled in construction estimating and quality control procedures.
- Excellent leadership skills with a track record of managing teams in a fast-paced construction management role while maintaining high safety standards.
