STRETCHMED® West Roxbury is hiring part-time stretch therapists who want to grow with an exciting new company!
We are looking for athletic trainers, exercise physiologists, kinesiologists, massage therapists, physical therapy assistants, nurses, and those with a degree or license in a related field, including certified personal trainers. This is a great opportunity to gain experience and skills in a new specialty that is taking the fitness industry by storm.
STRETCHMED® is a leader in 1-on-1 partner assisted stretching. Our offerings and model were developed by a team of degreed fitness professional who have over 50 years of combined hands-on experience with various stretch techniques, running upscale fitness studios, and developing staff.
STRETCHMED® uses a combination of PNF and static stretching techniques to eliminate chronic pain, increase mobility, rejuvenate, and people you move well! Our certified Stretch Therapists™ (CST™) work with clients in 1-on-1 sessions, anywhere from 1 to 4 times a week, depending on their needs and goals.
Join our dynamic team as a Certified Stretch Therapist (CST) on a part-time basis, dedicated to enhancing client wellness through expert stretching techniques and therapeutic modalities. In this role, you will deliver tailored stretch therapy sessions that promote flexibility, relieve pain, and improve overall mobility. Your expertise will help clients achieve their health goals in a supportive, energetic environment committed to excellence and continuous growth. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on clients’ lives while working alongside passionate health and wellness professionals.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify individual needs and develop personalized stretch therapy plans
- Deliver safe, effective stretch therapy sessions utilizing deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and other manual techniques
- Apply knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to ensure proper treatment protocols and client safety
- Educate clients on pain management strategies, occupational health practices, and at-home exercises to support ongoing wellness
- Maintain detailed documentation of each session, including client progress and treatment adjustments
- Provide exceptional customer service by creating a welcoming environment and addressing client questions or concerns promptly
- Encourage and motivate clients throughout their sessions.
- Assist in the membership sales process.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods while physically manipulating clients through a passive range of motion with periodic resistance, in order to administer the proprietary STRETCHMED® stretch protocols.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are a must, as therapists will need to explain the stretches and make recommendations, as well as establish relationships between the studio and clients.
- Stay current with industry best practices, certifications such as CPR, and evolving techniques in massage therapy and med spa services
Qualifications
- Certified Stretch Therapist (CST) certification or equivalent qualification in therapeutic stretching or massage therapy. (Training and certification program for all new hires.)
- Proven experience in patient service, massage therapy, or related health fields, preferably within a med spa or wellness setting
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and pain management techniques
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to therapeutic treatments and patient assessments
- Certification in CPR is required; additional certifications in deep tissue massage or trigger point therapy are highly desirable
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to connect with diverse clients and foster trust
- Prior occupational health or med spa experience is a plus but not mandatory; enthusiasm for ongoing learning is essential
