Resident Ratio: Maximum 6 residents to 1 caregiver
Springfield Homes is hiring a dependable CNA or DSP for our licensed residential care home for 55 and older Residents.
This is a small, private home in a safe neighborhood. You will care for no more than six older adults. Our residents have supportive families, and staff receive direct, hands-on management support.
Primary Duties
- Assist residents with bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility, and personal care
- Prepare and serve dinner and evening snacks
- Complete medication reminders or assistance within your authorized training
- Provide companionship and encourage resident engagement
- Complete light cleaning, laundry, dishes, and assigned household tasks
- Document resident care, changes, incidents, and shift responsibilities
- Communicate concerns to management promptly
- Follow resident service plans, safety procedures, and house policies
- Prepare residents for bedtime and maintain a calm evening routine
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- CNA or Certified DSP preferred
- At least two years of recent geriatric or direct-care experience preferred
- Must pass required background and registry checks
- Dependable attendance and reliable transportation
- Able to lift, transfer, and assist residents safely
- Comfortable working independently within a small residential setting
- Professional appearance and respectful communication
- CPR, TB screening, and Food Handler Certificate preferred
This position is best for someone who takes initiative, follows directions, completes assigned tasks, and understands the responsibility involved in caring for older adults.
