Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dog Bather to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality bathing and grooming services to pets, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the process. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals and a strong commitment to customer service, making each pet's experience enjoyable.
Duties
- Gently bathe and dry pets according to their specific needs and preferences.
- Brush and comb fur to remove tangles, mats, and loose hair.
- Trim nails and clean ears as part of the grooming process.
- Monitor pets for any signs of distress or health issues during bathing.
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pets' needs.
- Assist in handling pets safely using proper animal restraint techniques.
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians or assistants when necessary for any special care requirements.
Experience
- Previous experience in pet grooming or bathing is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Customer service experience is essential to ensure a positive interaction with pet owners.
- Familiarity with animal restraint techniques, dog training, or veterinary assistance is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed when handling larger breeds or multiple pets.
- Experience in pet sitting or working in a kennel environment is advantageous.
