Leaders are expected to arrive ~30 minutes early and stay ~30 minutes after shift

About the Opportunity
Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring a Group Lead for a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for overseeing daily production operations, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency goals are met or exceeded.

What You'll Do:• Lead daily production activities to meet or exceed production schedules, quality standards, and safety goals
- Conduct daily shift meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and performance updates
- Monitor workflow, identify bottlenecks, and drive continuous improvement using lean manufacturing tools
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment, ensuring OSHA and company standards are followed
- Train, coach, and develop team members while driving engagement and accountability
- Ensure SOPs, work instructions, and quality systems are followed and properly documented
• Collaborate with maintenance and quality teams to resolve issues and maintain production efficiency
What You Need to Bring:• Minimum of 2 years of production leadership or supervisory experience
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles (5S, continuous improvement, etc.)
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic math at a college level
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in manufacturing or a technical field #metrocareers
