Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced carpenter to join our team for residential and commercial construction and remodeling work in the Mount Pleasant, Iowa area. The ideal candidate should be dependable, detail-oriented, and take pride in quality craftsmanship.
Work may include framing, siding, trim, windows, doors, decks, remodels, repairs, and general construction tasks. We are looking for someone who can work independently when needed, follow instructions, and be part of a professional crew.
Duties
- Perform carpentry work on residential construction and remodeling projects
- Install framing, siding, trim, doors, windows, decking, and related materials
- Read measurements, layouts, and basic project plans
- Use hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely
- Maintain a clean and organized job site
- Work well with crew members, homeowners, and subcontractors
- Complete work with attention to detail and quality
Requirements
- Previous carpentry or construction experience required
- Must be reliable and show up on time
- Ability to measure, cut, install, and finish materials accurately
- Must have basic hand tools
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
- Ability to lift materials and work in various weather conditions
- Must be safety-minded and professional on the job site
Preferred Skills
- Experience with siding, framing, trim, decks, remodels, or general residential and/or commercial construction
- Ability to work independently without constant supervision
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Good communication and positive attitude
