Your Role: Elevating Clinical Excellence
As the Early Intervention Therapy Lead, you are more than a clinician—you are a mentor, coach, and leader. You will provide field-based clinical support, supervision, and training to therapy staff while ensuring services remain compliant, high-quality, and family-centered. Your leadership will directly impact staff development, accountability, and outcomes for children and families throughout the region.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership & Field Support
- Conduct field visits, observations, and joint treatment sessions to support therapist growth and clinical effectiveness
- Provide coaching and guidance on complex cases and clinical decision-making
- Ensure fidelity to Early Intervention best practices, IFSP implementation, and family-centered care principles
- Serve as a clinical resource for therapists across disciplines
Training & Workforce Development
- Support onboarding, mentorship, and training of new therapy staff
- Deliver ongoing training aligned with program needs, evidence-based practices, and regulatory requirements
- Conduct IDA observations and provide developmental feedback
- Identify skill gaps and develop targeted coaching plans to strengthen staff competency
Performance Management & Accountability
- Monitor therapist productivity, documentation quality, timeliness, and service outcomes
- Conduct regular staff check-ins, coaching sessions, and performance evaluations
- Support corrective action processes and Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) when necessary
- Reinforce expectations while promoting a culture of growth and accountability
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with New Mexico FIT Program requirements, documentation standards, and organizational policies
- Conduct audits of clinical documentation and service delivery
- Monitor adherence to timelines, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
- Support continuous quality improvement initiatives and corrective action planning
Team Collaboration & Communication
- Serve as a liaison between therapy staff and program leadership
- Facilitate team meetings, case consultations, and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Foster engagement, teamwork, accountability, and professional excellence
- Promote consistent communication across teams and service regions
Community Engagement & Leadership Presence
- Participate in outreach activities and community events throughout assigned regions
- Maintain a visible leadership presence to support staff, families, and community partners
- Represent Aprendamos and Early Intervention services within the community
What We Are Looking For
Licensure:
- Current unrestricted New Mexico licensure in one of the following disciplines:
- Occupational Therapy (OT)
- Physical Therapy (PT)
- Speech-Language Pathology (SLP)
- Family Therapy (FT)
- Social Work (SW)
- Related qualifying discipline
Experience:
- Early Intervention, pediatric, or family-centered services experience preferred
- Prior leadership, supervision, mentoring, or coaching experience strongly preferred
Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong understanding of Early Intervention services, IFSP development, and family-centered practices
- Knowledge of coaching, staff development, and performance management
- Excellent communication, organization, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to effectively support multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic environment
Additional Requirements
- Provide supervision for SLP Clinical Fellows (CFs), PTAs, COTAs, or other disciplines as permitted by licensure
- Travel throughout assigned service regions
- Attend community outreach and engagement events
- Maintain visibility and accessibility as a regional clinical leader
