Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Floor Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of various flooring surfaces across multiple commercial environments. Your expertise will ensure that floors are safe, presentable, and well-maintained, supporting our commitment to high-quality environmental services. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, technical skill in floor care, and excellent customer service abilities.
THIS IS A THIRD SHIFT POSITION (10:00 PM - 6:30 AM)
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive floor scrubbing, buffing, waxing, and refinishing to restore and maintain flooring surfaces.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, polishers, and carpet cleaning machines efficiently and safely.
- Handle chemical agents used in floor cleaning and care with proper safety procedures and environmental considerations.
- Execute routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming carpets, and detailed floor cleaning to meet client standards.
- Conduct heavy lifting of equipment or materials as needed for maintenance or deep-cleaning projects.
- Apply floor waxing and sealing techniques to protect surfaces and enhance appearance.
- Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities and report any issues or damages promptly.
Skills
- Proven experience in floor scrubbing, cleaning, and floor care techniques. REQUIRED
- Knowledge of chemical agents used in flooring maintenance and proper handling procedures. REQUIRED
- Ability to operate various cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong manual handling skills for heavy lifting tasks related to equipment or materials.
- Familiarity with environmental services standards and best practices in commercial cleaning.
- Excellent customer service skills to address client needs professionally.
- Competence in performing floor refinishing tasks such as buffing, waxing, and polishing.
- Understanding of safety protocols related to chemical handling and equipment operation.
