American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring 2 years of L&D experience and a WA or compact RN license.

Level III high-risk perinatal unit within a Level II Trauma Center hospital
-
Unit includes 19 labor and delivery beds, 10 antepartum beds, 30 postpartum beds, 3 ORs, 2 PACU bays, and a 7-bay triage area
-
Facility manages 200-300 deliveries per month
-
Day shift schedule, 4x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
-
Target staffing ratios include 1:1 in labor, 1:3 couplets in postpartum with CNA support, and 1:2-3 in antepartum
-
Triage staffed with 3 skilled RNs per shift
-
Support staff includes surgical techs, CNAs, delivering providers, CRNAs, and health unit coordinators around the clock
-
Weekend shifts required

Floating required to Postpartum and potentially to sister facilities

No on-call responsibilities

Uses Epic EMR
-
Active WA state or compact RN license required in hand at time of submission

Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required, following AWHONN standards
-
Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate or Relias Fetal Monitoring

AWHONN Advanced certification preferred
-
Epic EMR experience required
-
Sterile vaginal exam (SVE) skill required
-
Experience with high-risk delivery, vaginal delivery, and C-section circulation required
-
Skilled in labor and delivery management, hemorrhage/shock response, and neonatal care in the delivery room
-
Experience with medication administration including Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and antihypertensives
-
Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty required
-
Provide comprehensive care across labor, antepartum, and postpartum units including high-risk perinatal patients
-
Facility is part of a comprehensive maternity services campus with a Level II NICU
-
Assist with high-risk and vaginal deliveries, C-section circulation, and neonatal resuscitation
-
Support postpartum patients with couplet care, hemorrhage management, and lactation support
-
First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
-
Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside outside a 50-mile radius

Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day

All RTO requests must be submitted upfront at time of application, as post-submission requests may not be granted

Scrubs of any color are permitted except reddish-orange
