POSITION: Field Manager

ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Field Manager, Maintenance, you will be responsible for overseeing and guiding crew members on job sites to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. In this role, you will balance hands-on installation work with leadership responsibilities, including training crew members, maintaining open communication with supervisors, and ensuring all work aligns with project specifications and budgeted hours. You will also be responsible for monitoring safety, reporting equipment or site issues, and setting the standard for craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Lead Specialist on job sites to ensure that all work is performed in a safe and efficient manner within budgeted hours at the highest quality standards in accordance with job specifications.

Complete all the necessary paperwork in a timely manner

Communicate daily with supervisor for all aspects related to assigned job sites.

Train and develop Specialist.

Report equipment problems, unsafe conditions, and accidents to your supervisor and safety manager immediately.

Mow lawns, mulch, trim, weed, and assist with maintenance.

Identify and correctly pull and remove weeds.

Operate lawn equipment including mowers, line trimmers, stick edgers, blowers, and other maintenance tools with safety and efficiency.

Perform plant grooming and other detail-oriented tasks per instruction without supervision.

Perform all work in a safe and efficient manner following company’s safety rules
- Maintain safety by using personal protective equipment when directed.

Work carefully on projects to provide the best quality to customers.

Wear uniform and maintain a professional appearance while responding courteously to customers and the public.

Report inoperable or unsafe equipment or conditions to Production Manager immediately.

Demonstrate the ability and desire to learn new skills and plant materials for employee growth and crew stability.

Other duties as assigned.
ABOUT YOU
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
-
1+ year of landscaping, groundskeeping, or outdoor labor experience.

Basic phone skills

Ability to read plans and use a scale

Walk extended distances across uneven, sloped, or rough terrain
- Perform physically demanding landscaping tasks such as mowing, trimming, edging, mulching, and weeding
- Operate landscaping equipment including mowers, trimmers, edgers, and blowers in a safe and efficient manner
- Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, and occasionally more with assistance
- Climb ladders or similar structures and work at varying heights as needed
- Work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, humidity, and direct sunlight
- Perform tasks requiring manual dexterity, coordination, and sustained physical effort
Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
The work environment includes exposure to moderate to high noise levels, moving mechanical parts, and outdoor environmental conditions.
