Duties
- Assist residents or clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor patient health by observing vital signs and overall condition; report changes to healthcare professionals promptly
- Support medication administration following prescribed guidelines and HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and safety
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces
- Use manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts safely to assist with transfers and mobility needs
- Follow individualized care plans to provide consistent, respectful support aligned with each person’s preferences and requirements
Requirements
- Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to monitor vital signs accurately
- Familiarity with dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, and working with individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities
- Certification in CPR and first aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training or medication administration are a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual transfers using appropriate equipment
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members, residents, families, and healthcare providers
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support individuals with diverse needs including neurodevelopmental disorders and geriatrics

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
