Job Title: Assistant Chef
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: $22-24 /hour BOE
Potential Shifts: Tuesday to Friday 10-7pm Sat 8-3pm
Position Overview: If you are passionate about the food service industry and have previous kitchen experience, then we want to hear from you. Our kitchen management company is growing and we are looking for a hard-working, self-motivated Assistant Chef to join our team. The Assistant Chef is responsible for ensuring clean cooking utensils, chopped ingredients and clean work areas. The ideal candidate possesses a positive attitude, exceptional culinary insight and knowledge of standard food preparation and storage techniques.

Responsibilities:
- Set up and stock all stations with all necessary items
· Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
· Ensure food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
· Ensure strict health and hygiene standards
· Ensure all tables, counter tops and all food service areas are cleaned with soap and water after each meal
· Ensure the dining room floor and kitchenette floors are mopped daily after food service is completed for the day
· Assist Executive chef in cooking dishes according to set recipes
· Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens and grills for cooking purposes
· Maintain knowledge of all recipes so that the Executive Chef’s place can be filled in effectively in case of absenteeism
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
