Overview:
The Logistics Coordinator II is responsible for supporting the Logistics Department by keeping the company’s logistical processes running efficiently to include scheduling incoming and outgoing shipments and coordinating shipping schedules between departments to ensure on-time customer delivery and excellent customer service is provided.

Duties / Responsibilities:
- Prepares items for shipment to customers and/or returns to supplier.
- Monitors and tracks rail and truck shipments.
- Works from production schedules to order/reorder railcars.
- Requests and monitors import shipments.
- Provides delivery schedule(s) of railcar and truck shipments.
- Maintains record keeping systems.
- Invoice processing and verification
- Monthly KPI reporting on budget and deliverables
- Inventory reconciliation of 3PL Warehouses and internal inventory
- Communicates shipping schedules with vendors and carriers.
- Assists with monitoring and measuring carrier and warehouse performance activities; recommends enhancements that will improve the company’s overall performance in servicing customers.
- Reviews production schedules and updates shipping schedules to ensure customer orders align; assigns isotainer availability.
- Works with the production department on planning requirements for needed equipment maintenance or repairs.
- Develops and implements shipping and receiving procedures.
- Organizes and manages ISO container & Railcar inventory, storage, and transportation.
- Coordinates incoming raw material and finished product shipments, transportation costs & timelines and develops metrics for supply chain efficiency (productivity).
- Reviews and audits all shipping labels and packaging to ensure that they meet federal regulations.
- Ensures that all orders are delivered to customers in a timely manner, and addresses and resolves any issues with delayed and missed shipments.
- Creates and maintains weekly and monthly reports.
- Projects as assigned by the Assistant Logistics Manager.
- Performs other duties as required and assigned.

Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree preferred.
- Five years of experience in shipping warehouse or similar positions.
- Understanding and exposure to Railroad, Railcar shipping, and Railroad software(s).
- Awareness of ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 standards.
Physical Requirements and Work Conditions:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to walk, climb and stand for periods at a time.
- Ability to lift 15 lbs.
- Outdoor exposure and seasonal extreme heat.
