Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Server to join our vibrant food and beverage team! Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements as a host/hostess when needed
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clarity and completeness
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Upsell menu items, including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Process cash transactions accurately, handle credit card payments, and manage POS transaction procedures efficiently
- Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, including wine pairings, spirits, and food preparation details to answer guest questions confidently
- Ensure food safety standards are met through proper handling, sanitation practices, and adherence to health regulations
- Assist with bussing tables, cleaning service areas, and supporting kitchen staff during busy periods
- Foster positive guest relations by providing attentive service, addressing concerns promptly, and creating a welcoming environment
- Support opening or closing duties such as setting up stations or cleaning work areas to ensure smooth operations
Experience
- Previous food service experience in a restaurant setting is highly preferred; fine dining experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail mixing, and beverage service techniques
- Demonstrated ability in upselling menu items to enhance sales opportunities
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask efficiently during high-volume periods
- Experience in customer service roles that require active listening and guest engagement
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and sanitation standards within the food industry
- Hospitality background with experience in serving or hosting roles is desirable; previous bartender or cocktail experience is beneficial
