Position Summary:
HomeWoven is a growing nonprofit organization with a need for a Community Resource Navigator to serve as a key member of our team. The purpose of HomeWoven is to ensure there is safe affordable housing in our community. This is accomplished through its Home Preservation Program (Aging in Place, Immigrant and Refugee Repair and Greenlining Services) and its Home Affordability Program for low and moderate-income families and persons looking to achieve the dream of home ownership.
The right Community Resource Navigator candidate exhibits a passion for providing quality affordable housing to those in need in our community. This position will be responsible for ensuring HomeWoven’ client needs are met by overseeing client file management, engaging with homeowners through the application process and working as a liaison to connect clients to additional service to enhance their lives. The Community Resource Navigator will work with our older adult, Immigrant & Refugee homeowners and clients of our Home Affordability Program. This position may also involve coordinating some volunteer events. The right candidate will have the opportunity to grow with the organization and take on additional responsibilities and projects to help HomeWoven serve its mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct client intake, make referrals when necessary, and manage waitlists.
- Oversee all correspondence with clients prior to project start and after project completion.
- Provide administrative support for assigned grants that fund client work.
- Perform data collection, data entry, and retention for associated grant reporting.
- Enter daily logs and updates into BuilderTrend, Monday.com, Neighborly, and any other company prescribed software or hard files.
- Maintain client files and documents
- Assist in program outreach
- Oversee incoming/outgoing client referrals for additional services
- Work with leadership team to develop, monitor and evaluate program goals.
Community Events
- Provide support in planning, organizing, and delivery of community events.
- Track partner/volunteer participation and hours.
- Assist with communication of events to HomeWoven clients.
Other
- Attend organizational events when needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma / GED equivalent.
- Two to three years of experience working in a professional office environment. Customer relations, volunteer management or related nonprofit experience a plus.
- Must maintain valid driver’s license and be insurable.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Excellent communication skills to develop solid working relationships with clients, establish rapport with stakeholders, and motivate others toward achieving goals.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Karen is highly valued and considered a strong asset for this role.
- Organized, self-starter with the ability to manage time effectively.
- Exhibiting objective listening skills, courtesy, compassion, initiative, creativity, and good judgement.
- Good organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills with compassion and ability to work with a diversity of people, sometimes requiring sensitivity and appropriate judgment.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, open, team-oriented, casual office setting.

Salary/Benefits Package:
HomeWoven is committed to pay transparency and equity. Salary is determined by a combination of experience, skills, and alignment with the role's responsibilities. The comprehensive benefits package encompasses health insurance, matching contributions to a 403(B)-retirement plan, and paid time off.
