Duties and responsibilities

Aid Manager and Lead in the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards

Help to inspect building structures with Manager and Lead to determine the need for repairs or renovations

Aid in the maintenance of all building fixtures and appliances to ensure proper and safe function
-
Help fix issues with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, structure systems
-
Snow/ice removal in and around base area facilities
-
Operate & drive trash truck and one-ton flatbed
-
Janitorial duties, particularly after operation hours – vacuuming, cleaning, wiping down, etc.

Any other reasonable tasks assigned
Qualifications
-
Must be 18+ with a current and valid Driver’s License
-
High School Diploma or GED preferred
-
Proven experience in a maintenance/facilities position(s), preferably at Cooper
-
Basic knowledge of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.

Knowledge of gas and electric snow blowers and other power equipment is a plus
-
Must be able to ski or snowboard at an intermediate level in order to service on-mountain facilities
-
Strong attention to detail

Ability to work well in a team environment

A professional, positive, and enthusiastic attitude
Working conditions
The Facilities II position is based both inside and outside, and is exposed to temperature extremes (above 85 degrees and below 20 degrees), sun and wind exposure, inclement weather (rain, snow, ice) and high altitudes (10,500+ feet).
Physical requirements
Must be able to walk on even/uneven/slippery terrain, climb/descend even/uneven/slippery terrain, climb/descend stairs, stand and/or sit for long periods of time, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, lift objects which may be heavy, etc.

Seasonal Status
This is a winter seasonal position with an expected season of early December 2026 through Late March to mid April 2027. Employment in subsequent seasons is not guaranteed. Be sure to speak with your supervisor if you desire to return the next season.
