We are looking for a Line Cook/Prep Chef to join our team and prepare delicious meals for our customers. Our cafe prepares freshly made breakfast and lunch offerings and is open daily until 2:30. We are looking for reliable, hard working, positive-minded individuals to join our team! Ultimately, you’ll prepare and deliver our complete menu for in house dining, take away meals and light catering that delights our guests.
Responsibilities
- Learn & execute the menu quickly & efficiently
- Provide high quality meals for our guests
- Work well with your team to create a positive work environment
- Work in concert with Kitchen manager to assure efficiencies & assist managers and staff as needed
- Slightly modify recipes to meet customers’ needs and requests (e.g. reduce salt, remove dairy)
- Monitor food stock, FIFO
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area, Food Safety Manager Certified
Skills
- Proven work experience as a Chef or Line Cook
- Hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment
- Advanced knowledge of culinary techniques
- Leadership skills
- Ability to remain calm and undertake various tasks
- Excellent time management abilities
- Familiarity with sanitation regulations
- Culinary school diploma preferred
