Shift: Night | 3x12 Hours (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Job Summary
Cambay Healthcare is seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week travel contract in Baltimore, MD. This opportunity is ideal for respiratory therapists with strong critical care experience who are comfortable treating patients across all age groups, including neonatal, pediatric, and adult populations.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive respiratory care to neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients.
- Assess, treat, and monitor patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions.
- Manage ventilators and other respiratory support equipment in critical care settings.
- Care for NICU patients, including those requiring high-frequency jet ventilation.
- Perform respiratory assessments, airway management, oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and arterial blood gas collection.
- Respond to emergency situations and participate in rapid response and code events.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver quality patient care.
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with facility policies.

- Unit: Critical Care Respiratory Therapy
- Average Daily Ventilated Patients: 6–7
- Average Patient Visits per Day: 40
- Unit Size: 12 Beds
- Patient Ratio: 1:12
- Patient Population: Neonatal, Pediatric, and Adult
- Specialty Experience: High-frequency jet ventilators in the NICU are commonly used, with approximately 3–4 in operation at any given time.
Requirements
- Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
- Active Maryland Respiratory Therapy License (or eligibility as required)
- Current BLS
- Current ACLS
- Current PALS
- Current NRP
- Recent critical care respiratory therapy experience
- Experience treating all age groups is required
- Previous NICU and ventilator management experience strongly preferred
