Summary
Manages multiple mid-sized to large capacity student residence halls overseeing daily operations and facilitating social and educational opportunities supporting personal growth for residents. This position requires on-campus living in university-provided housing.
Essential Job Functions
Supervises daily residence hall activity for multiple properties
Acts as a regular, on-call emergency contact for the office of residential life
Maintains accurate room assignment and occupancy information for multiple residence halls
Leads efforts to orient students and assists in their integration into campus life including attending admissions events to facilitate the transition to campus
Responds to concerns from students, parents, and university community in a timely and supportive manner
Oversees residence halls for building maintenance and cleanliness issues and follows up, as needed, with appropriate resource
Serves as a hearing officer for the office of student conduct, adjudicating student conduct cases, as necessary
Represents the department at events and activities including assigned task forces, committees, special projects and engagements (internal and external), as assigned
Manages summer housing facilities including summer orientation, admissions events and other programs
Prepares and monitors area budget
Supervises and manages student employees, as necessary, to enhance their academic and professional development
Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Minimum of a bachelor's degree
Experience working in student affairs, residential life or other related experience
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree
