Tire & Brake Technician Overview
Grip & Go Tire Co. is looking for a dependable Tire & Brake Technician to join our growing team. We specialize in new tires, brake service, precision wheel alignments, and suspension repairs using state-of-the-art equipment.
We’re looking for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, works well in a fast-paced environment, and wants to grow with a company that values professionalism and customer service.
This position will focus primarily on tire and brake service. Suspension and alignment work will be handled by our certified technicians unless the employee earns the required additional certifications.
Responsibilities
- Mount, balance, rotate, and repair tires
- Replace brake pads, rotors, calipers, and related brake components
- Perform tire and brake inspections
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow manufacturer specifications and company quality standards
- Work efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
- Assist other technicians as needed
- Provide excellent customer service through quality workmanship
Requirements
- State of Michigan Brakes & Braking Systems Certification required
- Experience mounting and balancing tires
- Experience performing brake repairs
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to lift 50 pounds or more
- Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using tire mounting and balancing equipment
- TPMS experience
- Customer service experience
- Additional ASE or Michigan certifications are a plus
Pay & Benefits
- $20–$25 per hour based on experience
